A Little About Me

Don't all little girls dream of their big wedding? Cutting out pictures in magazines that my Mum brought home from work. Circling all of the dresses that I loved (which were obviously the biggest ones). Picking the colour scheme for my bridesmaids and flowers (varying shades of lilac). No? I was and have always been that girl.

I grew up with 3 older brothers so I clung onto every bit of girliness I could! Mid way through my life my parents got divorced which then actually threw me into a passion for hating love and hating marriage and absolutely everything to do with it. That was until I met my husband and I came back to my senses and was finallyyyyyyyy able to plan my very own wedding!

I have worked countless jobs in my life..everything from working at a butchers shop van to being a legal secretary. Throughout all of these jobs, I would love it for a while and then my passion would dwindle away. My last job as a property manager just happened to be situated around the corner to the most beautiful bridal store I have ever seen. Floor to ceiling windows and a massive chandelier. I would find myself going into the store multiple times a week on my lunch break - so much so that I ended up saying to the owner that I would literally work there for free. Luckily for me, I ended up working there part time (and yes, for actual money). 

Coming off from maternity leave, I had a big decision to make. Stay in real estate (and probably earn more money) or do what I actually love doing and sacrificing a little bit of money. At this point in my life - I need to do what I love doing otherwise I never will. So here we are - working my dream job!

I have met so many amazing brides, some funny, some bizarre but nothing warms my heart knowing that I have at least helped someone in the direction of their dream dress if not the actual dress! Working with designers, finding new things, new ideas - nothing could be better than this and I would love for you all to follow along with my journey.
