15 Wedding Dresses Under $1,500!

Times right now are tough with no signs of easing any time soon. There has been a huge shift in what people are willing to spend for their wedding and wedding dresses - Just try explaining the cost of a wedding gown to your fiancĂ© and see how well that goes down ("oh bloody hell its a dress...a car could cost that much" - sound familiar or just me?). The average price for a wedding gown is sitting around $2,500 to $3,000 and yes...you could buy a second hand car for that but that's not the point and we will never admit they are right. But guess what? You do not have to spend that much! There are so many options for more affordable gowns than you think - who has time to go through all the internet has to offer and track down these dresses? Me of course. I have done all the hard work for you and have found 15 gorg wedding dresses for under $1,500!

1. Markle Gown by CHANCERY

For the teeny tiny price of $420.00 you can be the owner of this elegant, beautiful gown complete with a giant bow and train (I LOVE me a bow). This beautiful mermaid gown is such a good option considering that very, very similar gowns can range from well over $3,000. Chancery actually has an entire "bridal" range so make sure to check those out too as they are all super affordable.

P.S If you are reading this in time then hurry to The Iconic so that you can get a huge 40% off!

2. Delphine by HOUSE OF CB

As someone who made sure to buy a House of CB dress for their engagement party - I can definitely vouch for House of CB and their quality. I was so so happy when they released a bridal collection! The dresses are absolutely stunning and sexy but the Delphine dress in particular has me on my knees. For $1,313.00 you get to have that iconic House of CB structure, luxe satin, draping and a beautiful train.

3. Sienna by ASOS EDITION

This beautiful A-Line lace and tulle gown will set you back just $826.00! The best thing about this dress is that it looks like a legit wedding dress you could get at a boutique for triple the price.

5. Delilah Bridal Gown by TWOSISTERS

Twosisters have been around for a long time and always had a grip on the girlies during racing season with their iconic lace dresses. Its no wonder they came out with a few lace wedding dresses! This one is definitely for my boho brides - the Delilah gown is full length, trumpet (and detachable) sleeves, a plunging necklace and sweet train. This gown would be so perfect for an outdoor or backyard wedding and especially for the price of $699.00!

6. Everleigh dress by BARIANO

Pockets. That's all I really need to say isn't? Give a girl a pocket on her wedding day and she will be forever happy. Thank god Bariano created this gown to give the gift of having a phone in our pocket, lippie, flask or even some snacks. The Everleigh dress features a flattering cowl neck, a side slit and of course pockets in a beautiful rich satin. This dress retails for $519.95 but is currently on sale for...wait for it.. $199.95! Run girl.

7. X Revolve Willow Gown by FOR LOVE & LEMONS

This dress is definitely not for everyone but maybe you are having a more casual affair or even a gorgeous garden wedding - this dress would be PERFECT! The billowing sleeves adds a super romantic to a fairly simple gown. The buttery silk material will skim over your curves and the slit will add a little sexiness! This designer actually does some really interesting wedding vibe gowns and this one retails for $1,076.19 on the Revolve website.

8. Protea Gown by ELLIATT

Wanting to have the editorial, winery-esk look to your wedding dress but don't want to pay thousands? Here is the Protea Gown which is beautifully priced at $452.77! The gorgeous a-symmetrical top is super flattering and creates a really interesting and modern feel. The high slit ensures comfortability in hot climates and adds a little sexiness to this a-line dress. It's made in a satin material so will be able to hold its shape all day and all night!

9. Betsy Gown by ZHIVAGO

So shoulder pads are not for everyone but for those who love a little volume in the
shoulders (like me) then this is for you! Zhivago has its very classic and iconic structure and I love that they were able to keep this shape whilst doing it in a beautiful, soft satin. I can just picture this gown in a boujee hotel ceremony/reception or even at an art gallery/art deco space. Clean, simple and very modern while staying fairly modest and modestly priced as well for $1,170.00.

10. Elenora Rose Gown by MESHKI

No doubts you would have seen this dress somewhere online but god I love it and god I love the price! $239 thank you very much. It's such a simple, sleek and beautiful dress and those added detailed straps that flow down the back just make it super sweet and dainty. Perfect for a huge variety of weddings, engagement or even your second look - especially for that price!

11. A Toast by CLUB L LONDON

Looking for something super comfortable but with a unique detail? Check out this dress from Club L London. The jersey fabric is going to hug your curves and be super comfortable and I LOVE a good cape - especially when it extends down into a train like this does! Club L London have a huge range of dresses that could pass for a wedding gown - feathers, sequins and even jumpsuits and all at really great prices! The "A Toast" gown is priced at an amazing $200.00!

12. The Tiffany Maxi Dress by SOLACE LONDON

She has style, she has grace! Look every bit a sophisticated bride in this beauty from Solace London. A beautiful silhouette with an inbuilt overskirt. The satin fabric will hold its structure as well as help from the boning in the top - this dress just screams classic bride! Solace London have a whole bridal range which I basically died over and you will too if you love something a little different. This dress retails for just over $1000 but is available on a lot of sites (and colours too!) so you should be able to bag a sale.

13. Linc Gown by RACHEL GILBERT

I'm not sure about you but I love an excuse to wear feathers and what better time to do it
than on your wedding day where no one is allowed to say anything about it? It is really hard to find a good quality feathered gown (and one that is the whole way around and not the front - I hate that) because a lot of time it's giving hens party feather boa. All hail Rachel Gilbert for gracing us with the perfect feather dress. The shape is giving us classic, sweet, feminine and the top is giving us party party party but classy. I am JUST squeezing this one is as it comes to $1,499.00 but it gives us $1 to get some shoes I guess.

14. Ariella Gown by MONTIQUE

Wanting a gown perfect for a beach wedding but don't want it to look like your typical "beachy" dress? I think this Ariella gown does just this and more! It's made in a beautiful stretch crepe (perfect for hugging those curves and it's thick enough to cover those little insecurities we may have) and features a stunning off shoulder cape. Imagine that cape flowing down the aisle catching in the wind...ahh. This dress could easily be in a bridal boutique and in fact I even stock a similar one! The price however, absolutely not boutique prices. This one comes in at a cool $459.95.

15. The Ivory in Bloom Bridal Gown by SELKIE

Ending with an absolute BANG. Obviously these dresses are not for everything but you can't deny they are stunning! Perfect for any outdoor wedding or estate house, a Selkie gown will match the vibe and have you feeling like a proper princess. With a full train, layers upon layers of organza and ruffled sleeves can be all yours for the surprisingly cheap price of $922.00.

So there we are - a list of some of my favourite dresses and designers all for under $1,500.00. And if you were waiting for some Shein crackers - I apologise but not this time. Obviously there are many, many cheaper dresses out there and you are more than in your right to check them out but be sure to check quality and return policies when buying anything online! You may be buying a dress on a budget but make sure that the feels are all there, the quality feels good and most importantly - that you look and feel beautiful. That way it doesn't even matter where you got your dress from and how much you paid (which people shouldn't care about anyway and if they do disinvite them immediately).
